A cassette did not care whether you played it in the car or on the stereo in the living room. It simply played. With us it works the same way.
In Geldrop we played a fiftieth birthday: in the pub on the corner or at someone’s home we play in one and a half by two and a half metres, without a stage and without amplification. Whoever wants to listen hears the strings; whoever wants to catch up does not have to raise their voice.
